Continued growth and ambitious expansion plans have driven a series of management changes at Franchise Brands Group, whose flagship companies are ChipsAway, market leading automotive paintwork repair specialists, and Ovenclean, the longest established and best known domestic oven cleaning company in the UK.
Tim Harris has been appointed Chief Executive for both brands, stepping into the shoes of Lloyd Evans, who has taken up the role of Deputy Chairman. Evans’ rolewill be to identify future acquisitions for Franchise Brands, extending the group’s portfolio of non-competing, yet complementary franchise businesses. He will also continue to manage and expand ChipsAway’s international markets, while Harris will now be responsible for the continued development of ChipsAway and Ovenclean in the UK.
The operational management team has been further strengthened with the creation of new Recruitment Director roles for both brands. Former Franchise Support Manager Steve Tabard has been promoted to Recruitment Director for ChipsAway. Kathryn Knight, who was previously responsible for organising Open Days for potential franchise owners, takes on the position at Ovenclean.
According to Group Marketing Director Robin Auld, enquiries from prospective franchise owners for both brands are at an all time high, with customer leads continuing to climb at an incredible rate.
“Since 2009, we have seen a 62 per cent increase in new customer leads for ChipsAway despite the prevailing economic climate,” said Auld. “Therefore, it is vital we build our nationwide network to cope with accelerating demand. The appointment of Steve and Kathryn will help ensure we attract the highest quality franchise owners for each of our brands, to maintain our market leading position in both sectors and continue to deliver the outstanding service customers have come to expect of us.”
