Gary Farrer, who acquired the company from Housing & Care 21 in November last year, is seeking suitable candidates for full and micro franchises.

While SureCare already operates almost 30 franchises in England, Farrer says there are large parts of the UK which would be perfect for a care and home services franchise.

Since Farrer joined the company as MD over two years ago, he has massively increased the range of services that can be offered by SureCare franchise owners. Whereas the company traditionally provided domiciliary care, it is now able to offer childcare and home services including gardening, DIY, cooking, cleaning and many other essential everyday tasks.

A full SureCare franchise covering a large territory such as Merseyside, Oxfordshire or Cheshire East, costs £32,000 plus working capital.

The company also offers SureCare local micro franchises covering smaller territories – typically 100,000 population – for an initial investment of £8,995.

Commenting on his expansion plans, Farrer, who previously built another care company, Safehands into a £5.5million turnover business before selling in November 2011, said: “We have spent a lot of time over the past two years looking at the SureCare offer and developing it so that it specifically meets the needs of today’s clients.

“This means that the franchise opportunities we are selling give franchise owners multiple revenue streams from day one.

“Our services cater for the needs of everyone, whether it is the working parent looking for trusted childcare, an elderly person needing help around the home to enable them to remain independent or someone in later life requiring personal care and support.

“We are looking for the right candidates to help us significantly increase the number of SureCare franchises in the UK. You do not need to have a background in care – what we are looking for most is a passion for providing the best possible care services allied to a desire to grow a successful and profitable franchise.”
