The franchise owner of Swisher Southend has partnered with the local Council to provide hygienic public toilets for tourists. Southend Borough Council recently commissioned a renovation programme for public toilets in the Borough, which is a popular tourist destination for Londoners and South East residents, providing clean facilities to visitors.

The renovation programme was completed in partnership with Swisher, Danfo UK Ltd, Allied Construction Ltd, and Cory Environmental Municipal Service. The project delivered a new toilet facility in Eastwood Park and refurbishments across 22 other priority locations including Southend Seafront. Swisher provided a deep clean service and sanitised all surfaces in all the public toilets.

Cllr. Ian Robertson, Executive Portfolio Holder for Public Protection, said: "We are pleased to have delivered an extensive refurbishment programme for this summer. Providing clean and usable toilets is important to meet the demands of our residents and visitors."
