Mayer, who is current Chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses in Weston-super-Mare & District and also Vice Chair of the Somerset & Wiltshire Region, set up his TaxAssist Accountants franchise in 2000 and now employs a team of seven, while looking after the tax and accountancy needs of more than 350 small local businesses.
Mayer and the team were joined by local dignitaries including John Penrose MP, the Mayor, Councillor Raymond Armstrong, Chairman of North Somerset Council Charles Cave and members of the local business community for an evening of live music, food and wine from local suppliers including The Hog Roast Company and The Wine Shop in Winscombe.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our local community and it’s important that we continue to support them to help our high streets thrive again,” said Mayer. “This party is an opportunity to say thank you to the local business community for their support over the past 15 years.”
