Accountancy and tax advice franchise, TaxAssist Accountants, has landed a business award for building a highly successful franchise network.

The Norwich-based brand, netted the Business Development Award at the 2011 Eastern Daily Press Business Awards.

Karl Sandall (pictured, left), Chief Executive at TaxAssist, said: “We were up against major international manufacturers and service providers, so it was particularly pleasing to be recognised, not only for building a profitable network in difficult economic times, but to do that through supporting and developing every one of our franchise owners.”

The awards cited TaxAssist’s ‘shopfront strategy’ for continuing to drive growth, with an 18 per cent rise in the number of shops over the past year. Despite the tough economic conditions, the TaxAssist Accountants network achieved an impressive 16 per cent increase in sales.
