The Christmas Decorators is set to open a new store in Liverpool city centre this Christmas in partnership with Herbert of Liverpool.

The franchise, which supplies and installs luxury festive decorations, is opening the store at the start of December. The store will be located next door to Herbert Howe’s flagship hair salon on Liverpool’s Hanover Street and will offer many of this year’s best-selling festive ranges from The Christmas Decorators.

The Christmas Decorators, which is known for decorating the homes of the rich and famous, will also be joining forces with Herbert of Liverpool and his Queenie’s Christmas Charity to bring the real Santa Claus to Liverpool over Christmas as part of a special week-long charity event.

Flying in all the way from Lapland, Santa will be making an exclusive week-long stop at the store’s Christmas grotto to help make Christmas wishes come true for local children.

Children’s charity, Queenie’s, was first launched in 2007 in honour of Herbert’s mother who died of Parkinson’s disease, and each year helps to support many under-privileged children over the Christmas season.

Nick Bolton, Director of The Christmas Decorators, said: “We are very proud to be teaming up with Herbert in supporting Queenies Christmas Charity as we open the doors to our new store this Christmas. It’s a truly fantastic cause.”

Herbert added: “Our charity is all about reaching out and spreading a little Christmas cheer and happiness to those who find themselves in need over Christmas time.

“I believe the charity begins at home, and despite the economic downturn, the wonderful people at Merseyside have proven time after time, that they have the biggest of hearts when it comes to giving. We hope make Christmas 2011 our best year yet.”

The Christmas Decorators already has one store based in the Wavertree area of Liverpool, but hopes that a city centre store will make it easier for more people to buy some of their Christmas bargains this year.

Bolton added: “For anyone looking to dress their home in the style of the stars or add that magical, festive touch to their Christmas, our new shop on Hanover Street will offer lots of fun and inspiration to help get people in the Christmas mood.”
