UK Papa John’s franchise owner wins company’s top international award
US pizza franchise, Papa John’s, has named one of its UK franchise owners as its International Franchisee of the Year, which included $20,000 and a crystal trophy as prizes.
Raheel Choudhary, who invested in his first Papa John’s franchise in 2003 and now has 11 stores in the London area, was chosen at the International Franchisee of the Year in recognition of his commitment to serving a superior-quality pizza, world-class customer service and outstanding community involvement.
Jack Swaysland, Papa John’s Vice President for UK and Europe, said: “Papa John’s has more than 3,500 stores worldwide, so for Raheel to win this accolade is just fantastic. He has always impressed us with his commercial success, commitment and dedication and this is just confirmation of his amazing talent.”
John Schnatter, Papa John’s founder, Chairman and CEO, presented Choudhary with the award at the Annual Operators Conference in Louisville, USA. He said: “Our winners do an outstanding job delivering on our ‘Better Ingredients, Better Pizza’ brand promise. These franchise owners are excellent role models for the entire Papa John’s system, and it is an honour to recognise their efforts.”
