UK’s first virtual FD service widens reach with local financial director

eVirtualFD, the first UK enterprise to offer SMEs access to their own virtual financial director, has expanded its network of local FDs by welcoming on board Birmingham-based accountant and business advisor, Sid Hopper.

A knowledgeable and experienced financial director of over 20 years, Sid has worked at senior board-level for a number of corporate businesses. He will support eVirtualFD’s clients in Cannock, Lichfield and Tamworth.

“I find working with small and medium-sized owner-managed businesses hugely rewarding,” says Sid. “By helping owners to understand their numbers and overcome the usual hiccups, I can add real value and help shape the business. However smaller businesses hardly ever get to experience the value an FD can offer. Which is why I was so keen to become a Virtual FD.”

eVirtualFD’s co-owner, Sian Lenegan, added, “Sid is exactly the kind of financial director we want on our team. His experience at corporate level is impressive, but his passion for the little guy is also infectious. His ideas and philosophy are very much in line with our reasons for starting eVirtualFD. If you’re a business owner, everything stops with you. You’re the one making the decisions, so of course you should have the best information and advice at hand.”

eVirtualFD is a Birmingham based start-up which is due to officially launch on June 20th.
