Taste (UK) Ltd, sandwich, salad and coffee bar, has launched its franchise opportunity. The Essex-based business is owned by husband and wife team Richard and Jill Willis, who have designed the franchise to suit the kind of person they were four years ago, when they quit their London office jobs to open their own café business.
Mr Willis said: "Opening your own café is incredibly hard, and for those like us who have no previous experience, it can be a mine field. That said, not everyone likes the idea of owning and running a heavily branded franchise, with little flexibility in terms of shop design, or general café style."
Mrs Willis added: "Thanks to our authorship of How to Start and Run a Sandwich and Coffee Shop, and the business mentoring work we carry out, we have spoken to a multitude of aspiring café owners over the past 12 months. What they've told us time and time again is that they want to open up their own café, but are nervous of the isolation and weight of responsibility. We've thought long and hard to find a solution, and we're certain our franchise scheme will offer the happy middle ground so many people are looking for."
The Taste franchise has been designed with the independent owner operator in mind, therefore, it will offer the flexibility and individuality necessary to feel that a Taste franchise is a stand alone café, but with the back up of the Willis' tried and tested support with finding suppliers, hiring staff, marketing the business and helping to achieve business success.
