Accounts Assist, a chartered certified accountants franchise, has been accepted as a provisional member by the British Franchise Association (bfa). Accounts Assist, which began franchising in 2009, currently has 10 franchise owners who provide bookkeeping services to small and medium sized businesses.

Accounts Assist founder, Anita Brook (pictured), said: "We are delighted that Accounts Assist Franchise Ltd has been accepted by the bfa for provision membership. The whole ethos behind the company is to provide a transparent service which focuses on customer care - this extends to the franchise owners, who are integral to allowing the business to expand without diluting its core values.

"I set up Accounts Assist because I was disillusioned with the often cutthroat, money above all else, world of accoutancy. The company's success to date proves that you don't have to compromise your morals to get on in business. We are really pleased to have the bfa's recognition - it goes to show we are doing it right!"
