The couple took on the River Nene Organic Vegetables Milton Keynes franchise in 2005 and since then they have expanded their business to serve Buckingham, Aylesbury and the surrounding villages and now deliver their organic fruit and vegetable boxes direct from the farm to over 500 customers a week.

Presenting Russell and Vanessa with the award Ian Bradley, Commercial Director of Riverford Organic Vegetables, highlighted their successful development of a well managed business and their tireless work to build a relationship with the city's new Eco Park, as well as the efforts they make in developing a perfect relationship with their customers.

'We are thrilled to have won this award,' says Russell, winner of the 2007 Franchisee of the Year Award. 'It is a pleasure to be able to provide our customers with high quality, great value produce. We have found that there is an increasing demand for seasonal, healthy food, which is traceable and supports UK growers.'
