Just capitalising on a growing market
Just Cuts is a hairdressing salon bridging the gap between an old-style barber and a high- end hair salon. The fixed-price, no-appointment system is a convenient and practical solution for clients, offering affordable cuts from fully qualified stylists. Founded in Australia in 1990, the Just Cuts franchise has been in the UK since 2018 with country-wide opportunities for savvy entrepreneurs wishing to invest in the £4.1billion hair and beauty industry. And the best part? You don’t need any hairdressing experience to own a Just Cuts!

One entrepreneur benefitting from the booming hair and beauty sector is mum-of- two Barbara Burnett, franchise owner of Just Cuts Stevenage: “I was instantly drawn to the Just Cuts franchise model. What you get in terms of support is second to none and the brand is so innovative. The concept of walk-in appointments using a bespoke app, fixed pricing and a professional quality, affordable haircare range really stands out in what can be a crowded marketplace. I’m excited for the future of my business and see this as such an amazing opportunity for me and my family. I’m looking to invest in my second salon as soon as possible.”

Many Just Cuts franchise owners share Barbara’s goal of owning multiple salons. In fact, just over half are multi-site owners – including Magda Deaconescu, who launched her second salon in Walton-on-Thames just three months after her first in Wandsworth.

She says: “Before I found Just Cuts, I was a stay-at-home mum for my two daughters. When they started school, I realised I had to do something for myself. It was always my dream to have my own salon. I discovered Just Cuts, met with the franchise recruitment manager and I instantly fell in love with the brand. I’m aiming to have at least 10 salons within three years. In terms of a long-term goal, I want to be able to provide a secure future for my children – that’s the ultimate achievement.”
