Target Structural is a specialist in providing structural repairs and new build solutions for a variety of structures; from historic castles to new build residential developments.
Target’s solutions range from foundation work in terraced properties to wall tie replacements in high-rise towers. The family-run business manufactures, specifies and installs the products used in these works, ensuring that quality remains consistently high from beginning to end and that clients are fully satisfied with all work carried out.
The franchise opportunity
Each Target Structural franchise has a non-exclusive operating territory. This prevents conflict between neighbouring franchisees, whilst allowing them to work together on any larger projects or even outsource surplus work to other franchisees. We provide high-quality technical and business training, as well as support in every aspect of running the franchise, from providing a state-of-the-art project management package to operating payroll and bookkeeping.
Ongoing marketing support and materials are all provided, as well as our online client database of over 3,000 relevant specifiers within the industry. We have committed a great deal to work directly with manufacturers to ensure that our franchisees have a high-quality supply chain, whom can be depended upon and we are proud to work alongside.
Finance
The recommended financial investment is £40,000. The initial franchise fee is £20,000 and we recommend a working capital of £20,000. We understand that each individual will finance their company differently and that some franchisees may require a bank loan to access the initial franchise investment.
There is an ongoing Administration Fee for administering the day-to-day book-keeping, as well as technical support for each franchisee. There is an additional Management Fee of 10% of turnover, which covers the franchise materials, including software, national marketing and marketing materials.
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for ambitious, hands-on people, who are ready to make a long-term commitment to Target Structural. Any applicants require creativity, a desire to learn and also be prepared to lead their own teams to work within our framework. If you think you are up to the challenge, the rewards can be well worth it.
While it helps to have an understanding of the construction industry, Target has a keen passion for training so, whether you're a site manager looking to start up for yourself, or a keen entrepreneur looking for a new challenge, a Target Structural franchise is an opportunity to grow and nurture your own successful business.
Target Structural has been operating since 2007, and currently covers the whole of the UK. Our head-office is based in Berkshire so covers the South of England most easily. We have operated pilots since 2014, who are based in the Wessex and the Southwest - this leaves plenty of opportunities across most of the country! At full capacity, we envisage a total of 25-30 franchisees operating throughout the UK. Being a combination of both a home- and vehicle-based franchise, Target Structural is relatively flexible with the areas available. This allows for plenty of opportunities, whilst also allowing each franchise an area that provides significant potential revenue.
Each of our pilot schemes have increased their revenue and net profit year-on-year, as well as exceeding both our and their expectations!
"Moving forward, I plan to continue to grow the business in my region. I believe this can only be achieved by providing the best service in this industry - working within the Target Structural brand and business model gives me this ability."
Carleton Lawman, licensee for the South West
The Target Structural franchise was officially launched at The National Franchise Exhibition in Birmingham in October 2017, which was met by a very positive response. Target Structural was awarded bfa Provisional Membership in September 2017.
