Brotherhood of Ovenclean

After watching his brother build a successful business with Ovenclean, John Saunders followed suit. Very different from the motoring industry in which he worked for eight years, but domestic oven cleaning has proved the perfect recipe for self-employment.

“I really wanted a change of direction in my life,” said John. “Franchising attracted me because I like the idea of a working to a proven business model – benefitting from an established brand and the years of other’s experience.

“I definitely wanted to go into domestic oven cleaning and I got first-hand insight into the business from my brother. I could see the market potential and the opportunity to build a regular, repeat customer base. In fact, I looked at a few franchise opportunities in the same sector, but like my brother I concluded that Ovenclean was the best for me.”

After 18 months, John’s business is thriving and he is enjoying his new lifestyle. “Though physically demanding it’s such an easy business to manage,” he comments. As long as you get your marketing right, advertise regularly and give out plenty of leaflets the client base creates itself really.”John is booking repeat cleans from previous customers as well as procuring new business by word-of-mouth recommendations.

There’s great earnings potential and long-term, John intends to expand his territory and secure a second van, but he’s already delighted with what he sees as “great earning potential”. He said he enjoys a better quality of life, endures less stress and has real job satisfaction.
