Eighteen months on, he can hardly believe the success he has achieved and says it’s been an amazing experience.
According to Owen, demand for his oven cleaning service has been high from the start; despite preparing himself for a difficult first few months getting his business going, he says his first year as a franchise owner has actually proved to be plain sailing. Now in his second year, Owen’s business is continuing to thrive and he has ambitious plans for the future.
“Business is really good,” he confirms. “Every month, turnover gets better and better, which is exactly as Ovenclean told me it would be! Although I’m really busy in my original territory, the response has been so positive that I have taken the plunge and invested in an adjacent, second territory – now I’m rushed off my feet!”
After completing his 1000th oven clean just before Christmas, Owen reckons his database is well over 1000 strong, an incredible achievement for any business less than two years in, but that’s just the beginning according to ambitious Owen.
“I’m running two territories by myself at the moment, but there’s more than enough work to justify running a second van, so I’m planning to get another vehicle on the road by the summer,” he says.
Commenting on the support he’s received from Ovenclean Head Office, Owen cannot praise the team enough.
“Ovenclean have been fantastic, they’ve given me all the help I could ever have asked for,” he declares. “To be honest, they set me up so well that I haven’t needed much ongoing assistance, their brilliant start-up team gave me all the tools I needed to make my own success!”With a diary full of appointments, and some big plans in prospect, Owen is looking forward to another year of growth.
“It’s been a wonderful 18 months, I’ve been thrilled by how well it’s gone – I can’t wait to see what this year brings!”
