Calli’s Corner inspires move into franchising

Jodie worked at Hampshire Constabulary for 10 years before taking voluntary redundancy and moving to Dorset to live with her partner.

Explaining her reasons behind making the move into franchising, she comments: “After taking voluntary redundancy I had the opportunity to invest the money I received into a new venture rather than going back down the route of working for another large company. My partner had recently purchased a franchise with a procurement company and was enjoying the benefits and flexibility that came with it and so I was eager to explore this career path for myself.”

Jodie attended The British & International Franchise Exhibition and began investigating a vast range of franchise options at the event. She continues: “As soon as I visited the Calli’s Corner stand I fell in love with the products, concept, and emotive selling point. In my heart I knew that this would be my new career path.”

Jodie began Calli’s Corner Dorset in September 2012 and has focused on promoting her new business by attending many networking events, exhibitions and craft fairs in order to get face-to-face access to a large percentage of potential customers.

She concludes: “I also have a range of product samples in a number of baby shops and intend to extend the number of shops that I have relationships with even further. My aim is to continue to go that extra mile to provide a unique and memorable experience for my customers and provide them with beautifully presented products.”
