FRANCHISE OWNER FOCUS

Calum Gray

After leaving a 33 year career in the Army, Calum Gray began investigating business opportunities available, including franchises. During his research Calum came across Caremark while reading The Franchise Magazine. "Caremark appealed to me because it rang true to the experiences I have had in supporting people who are vulnerable and I thought it was an excellent business opportunity," he recalls. "Furthermore, when I visited head office I was convinced by the enthusiasm and passion of the team there.

"Prior to launching my Caremark franchise I went on a two-week training course, which covered all aspects of running a successful domiciliary care business. The support I have received has been first class. I still make occasional visits to head office and the support is unwavering to the extent that the Managing Director, Kevin Lewis, is happy to take calls from any franchise owner who needs his advice, even out of office hours. I have never been left to feel alone or vulnerable with my business."

On target to meet his estimated turnover Calum states: "As well as the financial rewards I like the reward that comes from providing a good quality care service to people who need it. I plan to continue to grow my business and I aim to open another Caremark branch in the near future."
