For me the Snack-in-the-Box concept of delivering snacks to work places was really interesting and what appealed to me. I had been working as an assistant bank manager, however, I knew that I wanted to work for myself and I felt thatfranchising was the best option for starting up my own business.
Prior to launching my Snack-in-the-Box business in 2010, I had one week of training, which was both office-based and in the field. In addition to providing great training, I have found the head office team to be really supportive, for example they got me 150 customers before I even launched my business!
By the end of my first year I am aiming to have made a profit after paying all of my bills of between £25,000 and £30,000. Although running my own business has different challenges to being employed, I find it really satisfying and love the fact that the profit is all mine and a direct result of my hard work.
Another great thing about running my Snack-in-the-Box business is that I am able to spend more time with my wife and young daughter.
“Since my business launch I have subsequently grown my business by taking on some vending machines in my area”.
