Former Training Manager, David Greenaway, struck lucky with his ChipsAway business when he invested in one of the UK’s leading automotive paintwork repair franchises. His former role involved a lot of travel and living away from home, which David felt impacted on family life and ultimately led to his decision to take his career into his own hands.
“I initially looked at franchise opportunities in different sectors, but I decided that having always worked in the automotive sector I wanted to stick with what I knew and loved. The next step was to look at a range of automotive related franchises, and ChipsAway stood head and shoulders above the rest,” explains David.
After enjoying the extensive training, his business got off to a flying start with a hugely successful launch, securing over £4,000 worth of firm bookings, which he puts down to the support he received from ChipsAway.
“My business is going really well,” David comments. “I have built up a good reputation in my local area and expanded the business last year so I can complete bigger, more complex repairs, together with a team of technicians working for me. I know that ChipsAway will nurture and support me as I grow.”When asked if he has any regrets, he laughs; “Definitely not. I love being my own boss, I can work when it suits me and you really get out what you put in. People say I am lucky that my business is going so well, but in this game you make your own luck. The harder you work, the luckier you get.”
