I had previously owned a sandwich shop franchise so when I began looking for a new business opportunity, I was already aware of the benefits of owning a franchise. The Snack-in-the-Box franchise appealed to me because it enables me to work on my own and I am not dependent on staff to make my business a success. I also liked the fact that Snack-in-the-Box is associated with the Mars brand, you only work weekdays, and you can choose the hours you work.
When I launched my Snack-in-the-Box business in 2008 I was completely prepared for what to expect due to the very good training that had been provided by head office. In addition to the training I have received excellent extensive support. My turnover last year was £100,000 and this year I have taken on a further 50 sites, which should increase this figure to £180,000.
