I’m proud of our achievements. Having an industry-recognised ATA accreditation shows our customers that we have a high level of expertise.
Denzil Evans and Iain Wallis, the Northampton-based division of cosmetic vehicle repair specialists Revive!, are celebrating becoming two of the most highly qualified technicians in their field after months of studying and examinations.
The team, which specialises in repairing minor scuffs and scrapes to vehicle bodywork and alloy wheels, have achieved full ATA accreditation which means they have a very high level of expertise and industry knowledge and are amongst the top mobile smart repairers in the UK.
Organised by the Institute of the Motor Industry, the accreditation involves a series of rigorous practical assessments and a knowledge test, all under strict examination conditions.
Owner Denzil set up his Revive! business in 2009 while Iain joined in 2012. Both technicians strive to give their customers the highest quality of service. On-going training is a key aspect of this and they devoted a lot of their free time to preparing for the accreditation.
“Any tradesperson who is serious about the quality of their work knows that there is always more to learn,” explains Denzil. “Developing our skills and keeping up with changes in the industry – such as new products and techniques is important to us. It gives customers the assurance that we’re at the top of our game and that they can trust us to carry out expert repairs of the highest quality.
“I’m proud of our achievements. There are a lot of people out there carrying out cosmetic repairs without any qualifications or proper knowledge. Having an industry recognised ATA accreditation shows our customers that we have a high level of expertise and they can trust us to do a good job on their vehicle.”
Revive! was established in the UK in 2004 and is now a leading provider of top quality mobile SMART repairs offering a professional, high quality service to local businesses with national support. Revive!’s customers include car dealerships, manufacturers and private motorists. Cosmetic repair is a top quality, cost effective and time saving alternative to taking the vehicle to a bodyshop for minor paintwork or alloy wheel repairs. Costing far less than the average insurance policy excess, the work is carried out at a time and place to suit the customer, minimising vehicle downtime and protecting the owner’s no-claims bonus. Although the franchise network has grown significantly over the last few years there are still opportunities to join the team and franchise territories are available in most areas of the country.
Franchise Recruitment Manager, Mandy Sutch comments: “Denzil and Iain are a good example of the type of franchise owner that Revive! UK wishes to partner with. Technical excellence is one of our company values so we encourage and support all of our partners to gain their ATA in order to demonstrate how we differ from the ordinary SMART repairers out there. Hard work is a given if you want to be self-employed, but Revive! franchise owners need to be a cut above the rest so we only recruit people who fit with our values and are prepared to grow their business to multi-van level. We then provide a lot of support at all levels to ensure our franchise owners are successful.”
