Having been at the forefront of fitness franchising in the UK since 1997, Click Personal Training owner Lynn Woods has successfully developed the business model since followed by many other health club franchise operators.

'As the fitness industry has matured I have seen the market place change for both suppliers and consumers,' says Lynn Woods. 'The market has grown but customers are much more demanding and sophisticated. They know the difference between indifferent and great service and will use the internet to research and look for the fitness provider of their choice.'

With this in mind Lynn spent two years operating her own personal training business which then served as the blueprint for her new franchise opportunity Click Personal Training - a fitness franchise based around the quickly expanding sector of one to one personal training. Last year she was ready to launch her pilot scheme in London and 2007 has seen all her careful planning starting to come to fruition with the establishment of another four franchises around the UK.

Lynn adds: 'By Spring this year I was very pleased to see that there was a strong demand both for the end product and for the franchise package which is centred around our new website. Franchisees are particularly keen to take advantage of our extensive and high quality training, which gives them the opportunity of earning £25 to £50 per hour on a part time or full time basis. The great response has meant that we can now move forward with the next phase of our business development to recruit and train another twenty new business owners.'
