Oakleaf branches out with revitalised franchise package

Following the relaunch of its franchise package, Oakleaf is keen to recruit new franchise owners nationwide

With the property market stalled, homeowners are improving instead of moving. Eager to capitalise on the growing demand for home improvement products and services, decorative and period mouldings franchise Oakleaf has revitalised and re-launched its franchise package and now seeks motivated prospective franchise owners to continue its nationwide expansion.

Established in 1969, Oakleaf manufactures and fits a wide variety of high quality, decorative mouldings, which includes replica oak beams, Tudor exteriors as well as antique oak wall panelling. In 2001, Oakleaf began franchising its successful business concept with franchise owners managing the marketing, sales and installation of the company's unique products within their own large and exclusive territories.

"Our business opportunity is designed to be run from home, so our franchise owners require very little in the way of working capital," explains Oakleaf Managing Director Jonathan Banister. "All franchise owners need is a designated area within their home to work from, as well as a car and phone so that they can contact and meet clients.

"The franchise package includes all the tools needed to operate the business effectively from business stationery and a display allowance to marketing support. The revitalised package also includes a personal mobile showroom, featuring a selection of product displays. This will allow our franchise owners to promote our products at agricultural shows.

"We host annual conferences and are happy to help our franchise owners with their business plan, accounts and forecasting based on our own long business experience. While installation is normally handled by suitable sub-contractors appointed by the franchise owners, we recommend that franchise owners themselves get closely involved initially to 'get the feel for it,' and to establish the quality standards necessary. We also offer to train their nominated fitters in the factory, free of charge. With these in place, franchise owners simply manage their fitting teams.

"Our products have been used in a variety of TV programmes and films over the years from Emmerdale to Homefront and Wuthering Heights," enthuses Jonathan.

"Impressed with their authenticity, having used them in his popular TV programmes, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen chose our products to decorate the entrance hall of his home in the Cotswolds. (see picture above)."
