"The excellent products and services available enable me to run a profitable business"

For the past five years Kenny Moar has been working in the coffee industry but it was the innovative product range and quality service of The Real Bean Coffee Company, which attracted him to the franchise a year ago.

After working in the commercial catering industry for more than 25 years in a variety of senior managerial roles, Kenny Moar wanted to pursue a career where it was more about the product and job satisfaction than figures and meetings. He researched the catering sector for an exciting new prospect and found that the coffee industry was the market for him.

Having previously worked at a coffee company for four years, where he sold and repaired coffee machines, Kenny had the experience, product knowledge and ambition to start his own business. After researching various franchises within Scotland, Kenny found that The Real Bean Coffee Company offered more quality products and better services than its competitors.

"I first heard about The Real Bean Coffee Company from a friend who works there," reveals Kenny. "At the last coffee company I worked for there was only one product and not much scope for increasing my customer base, so I was excited at the prospect of joining The Real Bean Coffee Company, which has such a great range of machines."

Importers of premium Italian coffee makers, vending machines and consumables, The Real Bean Coffee Company is a growing franchise with a dedicated sales and service team whose aim is to provide quality products and outstanding service.

Franchise owners are provided with a comprehensive franchise business package that includes in-depth training, ongoing support, business tools and an exclusive range of customer-friendly products and services.

"I received excellent training at the manufacturers, where I learned everything I needed to know about the whole range of coffee machines and the franchise, from how to work and repair the machines to marketing and accounts."

Since launching his Glasgow-based franchise, Kenny has had great success in obtaining a healthy customer base.

"In terms of my customer base, there is no market sector that is particularly closed as I have a presence in many areas from petrol stations, factories and pubs to leisure centres and sandwich bars. With so many products on offer and such a strong brand, my franchise gives me the opportunity to broaden my target market and develop a profitable business."

With only a year of trading behind him, Kenny is already feeling positive about the future goals and developments of his business.

"In the next 24 months I aim to have doubled my business, with a larger customer base and higher product distribution. My ideal financial goal would be to hit £200,000 annual turnover and with The Real Bean Coffee Company I think this can be easily achieved."
