New franchise starts a Roofing Revolution
Rooferman provides franchisees with a hands-on business opportunity which is positioned well to service the growing number of people looking to improve their existing home rather than move in the depressed property market

Roofing franchise Rooferman has launched its franchise opportunity nationwide. Founded on the concept established by Ploughcroft Building Services Limited, Rooferman is looking for franchisees who will uphold the business's ethos of providing consistent quality work and great customer service.
The company was founded by Chris Hopkins (pictured) and initially traded as a small father and son-run business. The company fulfilled the need for more professionalism in the roof maintenance and repair industry and quickly built a strong customer base through providing quality, service and customer care.
After becoming Managing Director in 2005, Chris put his expansion strategy into place and invested a lot of time and money into the business's infrastructure in terms of system implementation, equipment and staff training. With this in place the company has been able to offer up-to-date training and staff appraisals, which ensures that every customer receives a consistent service and efficient workmanship.
Rooferman has been specifically developed to continue the company's expansion and maintain its high levels of customer care and service. The Rooferman franchise is a hands-on opportunity with head office taking care of all the paperwork. All jobs come through a centralised call centre and are then forwarded by text to the franchisees within the areas. This ensures franchisees are not disturbed while working on the roofs.
Franchisees offer a fixed priced menu that covers the majority of roofing maintenance and repairs. As well as, this franchisees are given the opportunity to train and qualify in the installation of solar panels.
Before launching their businesses Rooferman franchisees undergo four weeks of intensive training based at the company's award winning training centre, which delivers NVQs in roofing occupations using onsite assessments and training. In addition to practical roofing techniques and repair and maintenance methods, the franchisee will be trained on Health and Safety matters and certificated to PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) for tower scaffolding. Franchisees also benefit from a thorough support package, which includes: regular visits from a franchise manager; a mentoring programme; top-up training as and when required; performance comparison; and regular networking meetings.
Rooferman franchisees will benefit from the experience and success of Ploughcroft Building Services, which was recently awarded the National Award Winner for Best Place to work in Construction 2008 and the Construction Excellence Award 2008. Furthermore in 2007 the company won the National Home Improvement Council's National Award for Innovation in Training. For those that are looking to join a proven successful businesses, owning a Rooferman franchise could provide the perfect hands-on business opportunity.
