TFM: What attracts people to a mobile-based franchise as opposed to one office, or retail store-based?

JH: Being the owner of a mobile-based franchise is appealing for many reasons. You operate with lower overheads as you eliminate the cost associated with leasing or renting business premises, and so retain higher profits from day one.

TFM: How important is your vehicle branding in terms of generating your sales?

JH: First impressions really do count. We have strong brand recognition in the East of England and presenting your business professionally as we’ve done has led to us securing many more high-profile contracts.

TFM: How scalable is a Screen Rescue franchise?

JH: We offer a flexible business model that can be operated either as a man-and-a-van business or it can be scaled up to a full-management franchise, where the franchisee focuses on managing multi-van technicians whilst growing their business. With a turnover of £62,000 from one vehicle, the rewards are there for franchise partners who are prepared to work hard.

TFM: What is the major selling point of your brand to potential investors – why should they get on board?

JH: Screen Rescue has many selling points. Most instrumental is our windscreen repairs system, which has unique technology capabilities derived from its mechanical operation. Repair results are genuinely unbeaten.

We also operate a new glass scratch and graffiti removal system that produces the industry’s first ever 100% distortion free results.

We’ve refined a proactive approach directed at targeted commercial companies. Our proven approach results in fleet inspections made on a regular and reliable basis, which generates the repeat volume business you don’t get when dealing with ad-hoc private vehicle windscreen repairs. TFM: What training and support does Screen Rescue offer?

JH: We provide NVQ-led comprehensive workshop and field-based practical training from induction, to launch and beyond.

Screen Rescue also has many operational and financial tools available, which reliably remove most of the usual anxieties associated with running a business. Our sophisticated Central Billing System and Aged Debtor Collection service ensures cash-flow is good from day one leaving our franchise partners free from invoice queries and cash-collection, allowing them to focus on the important things.

TFM: What are your plans for the development of your brand and franchise opportunity in 2015?

JH: Since 2012, we have built a robust and highly profitable business with a strong brand name. We aim to share our success with 140 franchise partners as we expand across the UK in the next 10 years. We have a very busy decade ahead!
