The business opportunity that gives sparkling results

Former charity fundraiser Tracy Martin found the flexible management opportunity she had been looking for with commercial and domestic cleaning franchise Well Polished

Looking for a more inspiring working environment, with greater lifestyle flexibility, Tracy Martin began to reconsider her future career and decided that being self-employed might hold the answer. With little previous business experience she recognised that joining a franchised business would be the most successful route for her.

“I didn’t have the confidence to start up a business from scratch, so I decided to talk to my boyfriend’s friend, Nick Gregory, who owns a Well Polished franchise, to get an indication of what running a franchise would be like,” she explains. “Nick was very complimentary about the Well Polished franchise, which prompted me to contact the company’s founder, Sandra Venables.”

After meeting Sandra and the Well Polished team, Tracy felt confident that the management franchise was the opportunity she had been looking for.

“I found everything about Well Polished very appealing,” recalls Tracy. “I knew that I would enjoy the role of a Well Polished franchise owner – meeting with clients and managing a team of cleaners – and I thought the company website looked very professional, as do my clients.”

In preparation for the launch of her Yorkshire-based business, Tracy attended a four-day intensive course that covered all aspects of the franchise.

“The training I received was excellent,” says Tracy. “I learned everything from how to interview and recruit cleaners to managing my bookkeeping. I walked away from my training feeling confident that I would be able to run my business successfully.”

Since launching her Well Polished franchise at the start of last year, Tracy has steadily built her client base up to 50 regular customers and now has 11 cleaners working with her.

As a Well Polished franchise owner, you can benefit from three main revenue streams: commercial cleaning, domestic cleaning and the Well Polished ironing service, Well Pressed.

Tracy puts the success of her business down to her hard work, the Well Polished brand and the dedicated ongoing support of the Well Polished franchise team.

“I cannot fault Sandra and the team,” she enthuses. “They are always there to help, however big or small the problem.”

Tracy has not looked back since joining Well Polished and is delighted that she made the leap to becoming her own boss.

“I love running my own business,” she adds. “The flexibility it gives me is brilliant – I now work the hours I want from home, so I can take my children to school in the morning and work around any other family commitments.

“I would definitely recommend the Well Polished franchise to people looking to achieve their ideal work/life balance.”
