Esquires Coffee Houses UK is planning to open 10 new franchises by the end of this year. The coffee shop franchise is aiming to open the majority of these outlets in the South East, with a handful of stores planned for the North.
2009 was a successful year for Esquire Coffee Houses, as it opened seven new stores and its exisiting franchise owners had an average year on year sales uplift of 2 per cent.
Managing Director of Esquires Coffee Houses UK Peter Kirton said: "2009 was a fantastic year for Esquires and, with our plans for expansion now underway, I'm confident that we'll only improve our performance going forward.
"We've several exciting developments planned for 2010. We already have two new stores set to open in the first quarter and we've identified further locations across the UK that we are looking to advance.
"As always, we've focused on quality over quantity and each of the locations we've pinpointed will add a new dimension to our network. We put a lot of legwork into finding sites that offer character and feeling of community to our customers and we're very excited about our latest finds!"
