Right at Home, a USA-based home care franchise, has recently launched is franchise opportunity in the UK. Prior to the launch, Right at Home took time in finding the right person to take on its Master Franchise for the UK to oversee its expansion. The company wanted a UK Master Franchise Owner who understood franchising, care and the SME sector and who realised the importance of providing the very highest level of care to vulnerable adults.

Right at Home found that partner is Ken Deary, now Managing Director of Right at Home in the UK. Deary more than matched those requirements and in turn he wanted a franchisor who put an emphasis on supporting its franchise owners profitability as its number one priority in order to successfully franchise out the operation across the UK.

Deary said: “On meeting Allen Hager and the team at Right at Home I immediately knew I had found the right partner. They are so focused on quality care, looking after their franchise owners and giving them the support they require to run successful operations. I spoke to numerous of their franchise owners and it was obvious that the turnover and profitability of their franchise owners within the Right at Home system was outstanding. Some of the numbers really were staggering. However, above all it was obvious they had immense trust and respect in Right at Home’s support team. This and the warmth and professionalism of the Right at Home team made it a dream match for both parties and helped fulfil my ambition of franchising a quality care operation across the UK.”

Prior to joining Right at Home franchise, Deary was a successful franchise owner at the highest level having been a multi-store McDonald’s franchise owner between 1994-2005. During that time he won both the bfa Franchise of the Year award and McDonald’s Golden Arches award, which is only given to the top international franchise owner in the McDonald’s system. He has also been heavily involved in care, owning a care home and seeing at first hand the care his immediate elderly relatives needed to remain at home during their later life.

Deary saw that the care being delivered to individuals in their own home was, in the main, prescriptive, time limited and often insufficient to give loved ones and their families the care they needed to remain truly independent in their own home. He was keen to improve the way care was delivered to the elderly and disabled adults within the community. He became involved with Right at Home in April 2009 and subsequently opened the UK’s first office in Preston, Lancashire. The success of the first office now means Right at Home is ready to roll out the franchise across the UK.

Deary has built up a very experienced team in the UK and is now looking for franchise owners who want to manage their own successful business and at the same time put something back into their community. Right at Home provides a thorough training and start up package together with continued support from its award winning support team.

The Right at Home franchise fee costs £29,500 plus VAT and will require working capital.
