Greg Madigan – who officially started in the role this week – has over a decade of experience with the SUBWAY brand, and takes over the responsibility of developing the brand in the UK and Ireland, working with a team of Development Agents across the territory.

Ahead of his recent move to the UK, Madigan was based in Brisbane, Australia at the SUBWAY brand’s national head office, responsible for store operations nationwide. Prior to that he was General Manager for the SUBWAY brand’s Development Office in Sydney, overseeing the development of the brand and stores across New South Wales.

Madigan joins the SUBWAY team in the UK and Ireland – based at its Cambridge headquarters -as the brand continues to experience strong growth and expansion. Earlier this summer, the SUBWAY brand reached the 1,800th milestone store opening with a forecourt store with operator Euro Garages in Peterborough.

Madigan, commented: “I’m really excited to be joining the UK and Ireland team, especially at such an important time for the growth of the brand across the region.

“The SUBWAY brand is of course very popular across the UK and Ireland, the team have done a great job in developing the brand to get to 1,800 stores – the largest market in Europe. I see that my job is to help build on this, and facilitate growth not only with individual and multi-unit franchisees looking to develop their own store portfolio, but also with our corporate partners.”
