Award winning McDonald’s franchise owner to hold a franchising masterclass
The franchisee of 20 McDonald’s restaurants has been invited to present a franchising masterclass at the British Library’s Business and IP Centre on 26 June.
During the presentation Atul Pathak, who is also the Managing Director of Appt Corporation, will share how he has been able to grow his business, from establishing his first McDonald’s restaurant at Southall in 2003, to operating a 20-strong and growing McDonald’s restaurant group across North and North West London.
Pathak will cover the key aspects that every budding franchise owner should consider when buying into any franchise business including the importance of a solid business plan, measuring performance, planning for future growth and the value of customer research.
Since becoming a McDonald’s franchise owner, Pathak’s business achievements have earned him a string of awards including the British Franchise Association’s Silver Award in 2007 and the Asian Leadership in Franchising Award in 2010. Pathak was also the recipient of the Franchisee of the Year Award at the English Asian Business Awards earlier this year. Speaking about the masterclass, Pathak said: “There are no hard or fast rules in business, but by sharing my journey of setting up and establishing a franchise business, I hope to help people take their aspirations of buying into a franchise business to the next level and shed light on areas where they may need extra support or guidance.”
