Commercial cleaning franchise, Minster Cleaning Services, held its annual awards conference at the Ramada Penns Hall Hotel, in Sutton Coldfield, to celebrate the continued achievements of its franchise owners.

Northamptonshire franchise owner, Nick Barber, was named Franchisee of the Year. Barber started his franchise in 1996 and said that it is the high quality of service offered by the whole Northampton team, which has been the secret of his success.

“We make sure that our clients have no reason to change. Well-trained, motivated staff are extremely important and we have found that by fine-tuning our service to match clients’ ever changing requirements we’re picking up extra business,” said Barber. “High standards and flexibility have helped us to build long-term client relationships. By offering a comprehensive range of complementary work, we can provide all their cleaning needs from one reliable and trusted source.”

Runner-up, Chris Campbell has been running his Southampton branch since 1995. Third-placed David Charlton, a former Finance Manager at Marks & Spencer, was also an award winner in 2009 and 2010. His Liverpool branch has been operational since 1999.

Mike Parker, Managing Director of Minster Cleaning Services, said that it is the quality of their franchise owners that has made Minster the company that it is today.“Our annual awards recognise people who have made outstanding achievements during the year but every one of our franchise owners has successfully weathered one of the worst recessions in history and is well placed for the future. They have shown that resilience and man-management skills together with Minster’s proven business model adds up to a formula that really will stand the test of time.”

Office cleaning is an essential service based on repeat custom; a broad client base spreads the business risk and Minster’s large territories give franchise owners virtually unlimited growth potential.
