Steven Grant is the latest franchise owner to join TruGreen Professional Lawncare where he will operate TruGreen South West Sheffield.

From advising other businesses with Business Link to now starting his own, it could be said that he has made an ?ideal transition.

In talking about his new business, Grant commented: “The TruGreen franchise appealed because it is a proven business model and has many people running a successful business.”

Grant has just completed the extensive two-week training academy that all new franchise owners undertake before trading. This covers all the preparation, procedures and systems necessary to develop, manage and operate a professional lawn care franchise.

Grant commented: “I found the academy to be very thorough – not only with the in-depth training on lawn care and the use of pesticides but also in areas like marketing the business, selling to customers and keeping ?up-to-date accounts and records including health ?and safety.”

Grant’s business advice background will fair well for him where he will now be taking his own advice. Grant added: “My first aim is to gain enough work to fill my week. I hope to expand the business and take on extra staff when the time is right.”
