McDonald’s is looking to expand its presence in Russia eastwards, where it is planning to open locations in Siberia.

Since the late 1980s the fast-food chain has launched its restaurants in the west of Russia, however McDonald’s has recently announced a franchise deal that will see 10 locations opening in Siberia.

The company is particularly keen to target major cities in the west and centre of the region, including Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Tomsk, Novokuznetsk and Krasnoyarsk.
